1925 Penny Australian Coin

Interesting to see the difference in pricing of the 1925 Australian Penny. It is the second rarest date for the Australian Penny. Looking at the values as of JUNE 2020, considering the PCGS grades Vs prices, there is quite a spread on eBay. View below:

An AU example is going anywhere between $1500 AUD to $870 AUD. I see that a collector is trying to get a little more asking $1279.15 for a PCGS XF45 example, compared to another seller trying to get $450 for a PCGS XF45BN coin. Any coin over the AU range seems to be achieving over $1000 AUD. Good to see that you can pick up a VF example for as little as 280 AUD.

Its essential to take a moment to observe what prices are being achieved for rare and scarce coins.

Makes it all the more worth while along with its history.

The 1925 Penny Broken N Variety is the coin to be on the lookout for. This is considering the very thin leg of the first “N” in “PENNY”.
