1966 Twenty Cent (20c) “Wavy 2” London Die

The 1966 wavy 2 Twenty Cent Australian Coin (London Reverse Die), is a unique variety coin. This is where the base of the 2, is wavy. There are a few examples I have seen and come across on ebay.

There seems to be a few nice higher grade examples available. Mint State examples tend to be more price sensitive. Fine examples are going for around the $400 – $800 AUD mark. This is a highly appreciated coin. These can possibly still be found in change, even though these are from 1966. A great way to make an instant $500 AUD.
